Important Questions To Ask Before Shopping for an RV

So your thinking about buying an RV. You have decided you want to join the world of traveling and camping across the country, but still not quite sure what you want outside of a bed and roof.

Don’t worry, we have a few quick questions to ask yourself that should help you pick out the right kind of RV for you and your family.

1. How many people will be in your RV?

This is just a basic question of comfort.  A family of four is just going to need more space than a pair of snowbirds enjoying their retirement.  Remember, if a bed’s a double, that’ll be comfortable for two.  Also, some beds are designed for children, so be sure to look at them and try them out!

2. What will you need?

Will you need water facilities?  Cooking surfaces?  Food storage?  Heating?  Make a list of what you need your RV to have to make for a comfortable trip.

3.  Are you a full-timer, a part-timer, or a weekend warrior?

If you’re only in your RV for a weekend, roughing it with something you didn’t realize you needed is a whole lot easier than for a full-timer.

4. How much and what kind of driving are you doing?

Are you taking the highways to an RV resort?  Or are you taking a trip along mountain roads?   If there’s a lot of windy roads ahead, you should consider something more compact and easier to maneuver.

5. What can you afford?

Always worth asking before you take the plunge.  Make sure your dream RV has a down-to-earth price!

Answer these five questions, and you’ll be rolling in no time!
