This place is labeled as the “Birthplace of American Vertebrate Paleontology”. Big Bone Lick State Park has a rich history. A history that urns for more than 15 hundred years ago. Kids and adults will have a great time seeing prehistoric fossils and skeletons as it will give them a clue about the life forms and animals during those days. Visitors can chose from the variety of activities that can be done while in the area. Whether its fishing, hiking or just plain and simple relaxing. Wildlife in the are is very rich, as a matter of fact, the revival of Bisons( American Buffalo) herds in the area is the park administration’s effort to reestablish their habitat in this place once again.
