RV/ MH Hall of Fame: Closing Down Soon?

The RV flagship, RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum is currently battling a financial crisis and is rumored to be on the verge of closing down. Tom MacNutty, Executive director of RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum was a bit reluctant in admitting the said rumors. He acknowledges the fact that financial problems have been weighing them down though a solution is promulgated and soon to be implemented to help save the RV institution. This solutions comes in a form of  a solicitation letter distributed by RV/MH Heritage Foundation’s board of directors asking for help and donations from big names in the RV Industry.
The RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum’s mission is to preserve RV history and give honor to proponents and pioneers who made exemplary and significant contributions in the world of RV. It serves as a home to various trailers, photos and mementos from the 20’s and 30’s. the museum shows a chronological and technological advancement of RV from the past to the present.

The RV/MH Hall of Fame is located in Elkhart Indiana an is divided into different areas. Other than the museum, there is also a library, a theater and meeting rooms. Admission to the museum ranges from $3 to $8 but it seems as if it is not enough to generate income. People like Bill Fenech, the current president of Thor Motor Coach was deeply sympathetic about the place’s financial issue. Interest in donating to help save it is spreading all over the RV world though there are a few who wants to know how did the institution reach its current state.
