New Camping World Coming to Jacksonville

RV enthusiasts in the in Jacksonville, Florida area are going to have a new Camping World store to visit sometime next spring. For over three years, plans to open a multi-dealer auto complex have remained stagnant. The site that began construction in 2008 will now, instead, be developed by Fred Hassan of Jacksonville. Hassan, the previous owner of Suncoast RV, purchased the site with the intent to lease to Camping World.

Hassan plans to complete the Jacksonville site and in addition will also build another Camping World location along Interstate 75 in Valdosta. The Camping World chain is the largest RV and camping accessories dealer in the United States. The company has over 90 stores across the nation. Hassan speculates that the new Jacksonville site will be slightly larger than an existing store on Beach Boulevard, but smaller than the store located in St. Augustine. It is believed that business is brisk enough in the area to support all three locations.

In addition to RVs and camping accessories, Camping World also sells items like kayaks and bicycles. Hiring for the new Jacksonville location should begin next year.
