Football and RVs – Focus of Two Tours

RV and Football on Tour

Go RVing is working with Sports Illustrated NFL writer, Peter King. They are providing him with a JayCo Precept Class A RV for his three week NFL summer tour. This Monday Morning Quarterback (MMQB) Training Camp Tour left from New York on July 29th.

The tour will run for three weeks with King and other writers reporting on their adventures as they go. Their RV trip will pass through 19 cities where the writers not only be writing about their adventures, but will also be attending to their normal football writing duties along the way.

Peter King began writing his MMQB column for Sports Illustrated in 1997. Currently his column draws over 12 million page views and he has over a million followers on Twitter. King will be tweeting throughout the tour duration as well as blogging.

The RV industry also has a national advertising deal with Sports Illustrated and college football. This On Campus Tailgate Tour is scheduled to visit six NCAA football games across the United States, giving fans an opportunity to learn more about the RVs while participating in various tailgating competitions, games and giveaways. Videos from each stop will be available for viewing on the Sports Illustrated website. The RVs used on the collegiate tour are a Winnebago Adventurer Class A and a Keystone RV Co. travel trailer.

The RVs used in the tour were selected via a lottery process.
