FMCA Showcase a Success

The 87th annual Family Motor Coach Association’s (FMCA) Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase was recently held in Indianapolis, Indiana. The gathering was held from August 27th through the 30th and by all measures, was a success.

Visitors were able to see 70 demonstration coaches and more than 275 Class A, B and C vehicles during the showcase. Various displays were held both indoors and out, making good use of the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Supplier exhibits were well attended on every day of the event. Final numbers have not yet been tallied, but prior to the event it was estimated that there would be 8,000 people in attendance at the event. The 250 acre fairgrounds worked well, according to Chris Lusk, the FMCA events director. Because of the success, Lusk stated that the location would be in consideration for future events as well.

The 88th FMCA Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase is scheduled for June 19th through the 22nd in 2013. Next year’s, event which is slated to be held in Gillette, Wyoming will mark the FMCA’s 50th anniversary.
