Exploring Branson Missouri

Each year thousands travel to Branson, Missouri for its well known live music shows. In addition to the shows and restaurants, there are lots of options for young and old to enjoy. RV enthusiasts have the perfect opportunity to explore, as there are a number of RV parks and campgrounds in and around the surrounding area. Nestled in the Ozark mountains, the town and the scenery around it is well worth the trip.

Take time to explore Dogwood Canyon Nature Park. Among its 10,000 acres, visitors will find this privately owned park offers hiking, biking, Segway tours, Jeep tours, horse back riding and more.

At Silver Dollar City, the local theme park, visitors can enjoy the Marvel Cave, over 30 rides and attractions, interesting shops and restaurants, daily shows as well as a chance to watch and learn from craftsmen demonstrating skills like glass blowing and candle making. Visitors especially enjoy the early Christmas including holiday music and a holiday parade.

Another unique stop in the area is Branson’s Ride the Ducks. Visitors are treated to an open air ride through the town, culminating in a ride into the lake in an amphibious vehicle.

The Branson scenic railway is another great option, offering a 40 mile ride in a classic passenger liner complete with a glass-top observation area.

Those looking for adventure should be sure to stop at Vigilante Ziprider for a thrilling zip line experience.

While Branson is know for its music shows, it certainly has much more to offer. Whether you are a country music fan, or just a fan of the outdoors, Branson is worth taking a look.
