Annual Fundraiser Receives Support from the RV Industry

The Boys and Girls Club of Goshen, Indiana is holding its annual Bids for Kids fundraiser on May 4th. The event receives strong support from the local RV industry. The club estimates that it has participation from roughly 70% of the RV companies in the area through sponsorship or other means of help.

The club moved the event to the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart four years ago. The move was a necessity due to the growth of the fundraiser. The annual auction includes many exciting items. Last year’s auction items included tickets to Saturday Night Live, private guided fishing trips and a private jet ride to Nashville for a concert.

The Boys and Girls Club offers programs and activities for children ages 6 through 18. The club strives to provide youth development in five core areas: health and life skills, education and career development, character and leadership development, the arts, and sports, fitness and recreation. The Boys and Girls Club of Goshen serves 1,100 children each year.

The support of the auction, from the sponsors to the donors to the bidders allows the Boys and Girls Club to continue to provide a safe place for children to learn and grow.
