5 Awesome RV Destruction Videos

Whether it’s due to sheer boredom or a personality befitting a professional arsonist, those who happen to find in their possession a recreational vehicle that no longer operates according to its intended function seem to enjoy its absolute obliteration.

Let’s say you’re privy to an old camper, one that’s doing not much more than collecting dust, taking up space, and more than likely serving as the home for assorted flora and fauna. The logical thing to do would be to have it taken to a local dump, or sell it so it could be fixed up. Maybe you can earn a little money in the process. The crazy thing to do, however, is drive a mid-70’s Cadillac El Dorado through its side six times until all that remains is trail of destruction.

It’s a shame, however; that Caddy would be a fine vehicle were it not used as an element of mass destruction.

Apparently a Buick (or is it a Chevy), works just as well.

Luckily no one was injured. The tough exterior of the Caddy served as a good protection (despite missing the driver side door), and the driver, or drivers, emerged each time they plowed through the poor home remained unscathed.

There are some, however, who would rather eliminate the middle man and just drive the RV straight into oblivion.

Unfortunately for them, this leads to a greater chance of injury. Take this fellow for example, who according to the description of the video broke his back playing. One can only imagine this would be a likely outcome when flying a several ton death machine through the air with nothing but a seat belt as protection.

The absolute destruction of campers and RVs aside, there are many who take pride in their vehicles yet fail to utilize the common sense required to own one. Many seem to underestimate just how large these vehicles actually are, and the resulting outcome is, for lack of a better description, not pretty. Whether it’s crashing your camper into a gas station and bringing the whole thing down on top of you…

…or attempting to haul one uphill with a car that could barely pull a motorcycle, it’s always wise to know what you’re getting into when you buy one of these monstrosities.

In the end, owning an RV is a responsibility, one that many, if these videos are any indication, did not seriously consider before purchasing. Then there are those less fortunate individuals who were not blessed with the gift of foresight who might find the utter destruction of an RV or camper an amusing prospect.

Thankfully for us, their stupidity was recorded – you know, for the sake of posterity – and as long as there are drunk people filming their ridiculous exploits, we’ll have entertainment for years to come.
