2013 Trailer Market Expands

The towables market is currently expanding. Consumers continue to look for affordable RVs. This includes fifth wheels and light weight trailers. A variety of manufacturers have new models to offer in 2013. Here are just a few of the models introduced for 2013.

Coachmen’s new Apex travel trailer is an entry level model that comes in lengths from 20 to 28 feet. The base price starts at $15,000. This model falls in the light weight category as it is constructed using Azdel Superlite which is 50 percent lighter than wood.

Keystone offers new models in its toy haulers line with the trend towards the unit being an RV first and a garage second. The Raptor and Fusion fifth wheel and travel trailer series are good examples.

Winnebago entered the towables market two years ago. They have introduced two new products for 2013 including the Winnebago Lite Five fifth-wheel and the Minnie Travel Trailer.

Prime Time introduced its Avenger travel trailer for 2013. It has an MSRP of $15,995. This line is capitalizing on the industry’s use of new materials and construction techniques that are allowing entry level towable trailers to come in with a price point that is below that of many pop-up campers.
